Hey @all,
und zwar hätte ich mir gedacht, da mir ein größeres Projekt ins Haus steht, und meine Windows Kiste dafür etwas zu lahm ist, einfach die Rechenleistung auf meinen Windowsrechner und gleichzeitig auf meinen Linuxrechner aufzuteilen.
Ist sowas Möglich, und wenn ja, kann mir diesbezüglich jemand helfen?
So das halt am Schluss zum Rechnen der Windows und parallel der Linuxrechner verwendet wird.

also richtiges Clustering von Windows und Linux ist imho nicht möglich. Aber beschreib doch mal kurz was du genau vorhast, bzw. was berechnet werden soll. Vielleicht ergibt sich ja daraus dann ein Ansatz. |

Kommt sich immer drauf an, was du verteilen willst......
Renderdaemon der auf Windows/Linux zu verfügung steht und dass Verteilen erlaubt => ja
DistCC wenn du toolchains erstellen kannst die zusammenspielen und ein distCC für Windows verfügbar ist (weiss ich nicht) => ja
Einfach so Rechenleistung verteilen => nein
Einfach => nein ist sowas sowieso nie, 2 so verschiedene Architekturen zum "richtigen" zusammen Arbeiten bewegen ist schwer. |

Tja, ich müsste ein 3D Video rendern, und das packt meine Windows kiste nicht ganz, deswegen wollte ich den Linuxrechner zuschalten, um die rechenkapazität zu teilen

Wie schon geschrieben, funzt nur wenn dein Renderdaemon auf beiden Platformen zur Verfügung steht und das Verteilen von Jobs implemtiert und unterstützt ist.
Bin keine 3D Render Guru => jemand weiss sicher besser Bescheid als ich, was es gibt und ob das funzt. |

Das wird glaube ich nicht ganz funktionieren, das das 3D Video mittels 3D Modeller geredert wird. Dazu wird Softimage XSI verwendet
