I'm using Nautilus 2.2.1 and I want it to stop drawing the desktop. I went into the preferences and it won't give me an option to do this. I'm sure that in previous versions there was an option to turn this feature off. I only wish to use Nautilus as a file manager and nothing more.
Anyone know how to make sure Nautilus doesn't draw the desktop?

I'm using Fluxbox not Gnome. Sorry, I should have specified that.

And where is the problem with running the gconf-editor in fluxbox? |

I new to this. I thought that a program that would work specifically with Gnome.
I just emerged gconf-editor and set the show_desktop value to false. I'm still having the same problem.

The G in gconf means AFAIK gtk and not gnome. |
