The people at vmware do not believe is has anyting to do with vmware so I figured I would post to the experts here. Vmware does run perfectly on ck-sources. So the patch I applied to the config works fine. _________________ Thanks

About oopsing & love : Please dont use this old release . We have 2 new releases here : 2.6.12-rc1-love1 and 2.6.12-rc2-love1.

Thank you for your reply. Was this a known issue with that kernel. I have not upgraded the kernel b/c it has served me well untill I installed vmware. Willl an upgrade to the newer kernel solve my problem? _________________ Thanks

Hey, for me its is working goog , but some poeple have this problem , DO U use smp or ht ? or x86_64 ?
if You have x86 try our last release .

I just downloaded latest love-sources "2.6.12-rc2-love1" and also have oops when trying to load vmware modules.
