Has anyone tried this? I can't even get the machine booted from the live cd. Right in the middle of the boot the screen turns red, but the text stays white. The machine is locked at this point and a hard reboot is neccesary. I am booting from SRM. Any suggestions?

There are two boot options in aboot:
0: the 2.6 kernel - turn red for me also
1: the 2.4 kernel - this i can boot on my machine
