Hello all.
I finished installing my alpha yesterday, it works nice . But i'd like to run some pieces of software on it, wich seem to only work on x86 architecture . I mean, per example : teamspeak .
If someone has a clue about em86 status ?
Thanks ! _________________ Il y a 10 sortes d'individus en ce bas-monde : ceux qui causent binaire, et les autres. |

Quick google search found the following:
http://www.alphalinux.org/faq/FAQ-16.html
which links to ftp://ftp.digital.com/pub/DEC/Linux-Alpha/em86/
Judging by the dates of the last release (mid 03), it dosent appear any new work is gonna be done on that anytime soon. You could try doing a manual install on an alpha and see if it will even compile? If it still compiles/runs it may be trivial to make an ebuild for it. _________________ Gentoo, boldly going places only NetBSD dare venture. |
