Hi All,

Ok I know this is probably more a Q-Mail question than a Gentoo one, but there is so many people that know so much on this forum that I guess someone would know an answer to what I need.

Ok, Here is the thing.

I want my server to accept email for a domain. That's done. The next part is, i want the server to accept email from any address at that domain. I know this can be done with a catch all type user.

This is the hard part (well the part i dont know how to do).
I want the server to then take that whole email address, keep the part before the @ sign, and rewrite the domain to something else, then send the email on.

So for example, the two domains are incoming.com and outgoing.com.

A user sends email from someone@theirdomain.com to georg@incoming.com.

The server receives the email to georg@incoming.com and then changes it to go to georg@outgoing.com and sends it on.

The reason for this is I want users to send email to my domain, but realy have it sent to a different domain, transparent to the user.

I am using the latest unmasked qmail.

The other tricky part is that it is all virtual users and domains on my server, I followed the Q-Mail/vpopmail etc how to on this site.

This can be done in sendmail as i have it working on another server at the moment, but I want it to be done using Qmail.

If anyone knows what I am talking about and knows how to do it, I would appreciate some help, or a pointer or something.

If you need some more info, let me know and I will get you all the info I can.

Thanks everyone

So no one knows how to do this then....

I am sure that Qmail would be able to do this if sendmail can.

qmailrocks.org has all the info you need. If you have apache installed (along with php) you can install a couple of tools that will do most of that
