|

Hiya,
I installed Gentoo and TightVNC. When I log into the computer over VNC and later log out, it does not seem to actually log the user out. So when I return to the computer either by VNC or via the keyboard directly, it says the user is already logged in and asks if I want to log in anyways. Is there any way to force the other connection to log out? This wouldnt be such a huge problem, except it seems when this happens too many times, the computer locks up for one reason or another.
Thanks,

Give some more information on the vncserver you use and what does it launches (connect to an existing display or a new one?)... |

I am using the latest version of TightVNC, I am not sure which it connects to, but I am assuming a new display.[/quote] _________________ ~Matt |

Ok. post your ~/.vnc/xstartup
You can kill vncservers by doing:
vncserver -kill :1 (or :2 or whatever) |
