Hi All,
ich hab' ein kleines Problem beim Emergen von xorg-x11...
Nachdem ich alle USE-Flags gesetzt und emerge -v xorg-x11 gestartet habe, endet die Installation leider nicht erfolgreich...
Das Emergen wird mit folgender Fehlermeldung beendet:

Ich habe zuvor auch versehentlich kein emerge depclean o. ä. gestartet...
Selbst ein erfolgreiches "emerge --oneshoot libtool" hat auch nicht wirklich weitergeholfen.
Habt Ihr bzgl. dieser Problematik vielleicht hilfreiche Tipps für mich?

Ich glaube ich habe ein ähnliches problem, wobei ich nicht an einem Athlon sitze...
Ich installiere gerade auf einem IBM Thinkpad T23 mit einem PIII 1.13Ghz...
Ich bekomme einen Fehler beim Compilieren...
Und zwar:
!!! Error: x11-base/xorg-x11-6.8.2-r1 failed.
!!! Function build, Line 954, Exitcode 2
!!! make World failed
Duch etwas recherche habe ich gerade gefunden das es nützlich sein kann in den USE Flags entweder KDE oder Gnome zu wählen,
weil sich beides wohl nicht verträgt, ich hab also gerade versucht der USE Flag -gnome mitzugeben...
Leider bekomme ich den selben Fehler...
Kann mir jemand helfen? |

1. Das ist nicht der Fehler, sondern das Resultat, nämlich das "xorg-x11" nicht fertig gebaut werden konnte. Damit kann man also reichlich wenig anfangen.

2. Also USE-Flag "-gome" mitzugeben wird dir hier erstmal relativ wenig bringen, da weder "kde", "qt", "gnome", ... in den USE-Flags von "xorg-x11" enthalten sind. Sollte es also Probleme geben wenn die USE-Flags zusammen benutzt werden, dann musst du erstmal dein System neu kompilieren mit den neu gesetzten USE-Flags, dnn erst dann hätte es auch auswirkungen auf "xorg-x11".
3. Solltest du Probleme nicht in einem Thread posten der als "SOLVED" gekennzeichnet ist (Schauen dann nämlich weniger Leute rein).

Ansonsten ersetz doch einfach mal das "-mcpu=i686" in deinen C(XX)FLAGS durch "-march=pentium3". |

Ja, danke Dir - der Compilier vorgang ist jetzt zwar noch nicht fertig aber doch schon deutlich weiter als bisher...
