How do i see if i am using full duplex and what my nic supports?
How do i see what speed i am using and what my nic supports?
Then, how do i change these values?

That depends on which NIC it is. If it's a MII-based NIC,

emerge mii-tool
For example:
Code:
moocha ~ # mii-tool eth0
eth0: negotiated 100baseTx-FD, link ok
(FD = Full Duplex).
If mii-tool doesn't cooperate or isn't enough, you may want to look at the ethtool and/or nictools packages.

It's actually sys-apps/mii-diag rather than mii-tools. The other poster probably mistyped because he was thinking about ethtool when he posted.

Argh, my bad. mii-tool is part of the net-tools package which is already present on any Gentoo system. I apologize :).
