Is DRI one of the menuconfig options? If so, would someone please point me to the section in which it is located?
Thanks... _________________ "Primum non nocere" ---Galen |

Yes:
Code: | -> Device Drivers
-> Character Drivers
-> Direct Rendering Manager (XFree86 4.1.0 and higher DRI support) |

Waning, use that option with carefully. If you are using an ATI card make it a module so that the newer ATI drivers can unload it, that is the only way I got my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro to get full speed and DRI support. |

lotw...
Thanks for the words of warning... I, in fact, am about to try an ATI card that was given to me. Are there any other kernel, xorg, or grub things I should be aware of? _________________ "Primum non nocere" ---Galen |

That is all that I found. So far my system works great and not sure why everyone is having problems with the ATI cards. |
