I see Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 in transgaming's db, but don't see anything about how it plays.. Does anybody have this going? (2005 would be even better ) I don't mind spending the cash, but this is the ONLY windows game I own/play, so if there's no chance of getting it working, I'll not bother with the subscription. _________________ Kris Edwards

The best bet is to try it.
Often the database will have a game listed that someone got working, yet others can't and vice versa.
I'll try later today and post my results. |

MUCH appreciation
BTW, I tried.. I couldn't get very far with the CVS due to copy protection. (The nocd cracks I could find are for after it has been installed.) The disk is legit (for once ) but it doesn't believe me :/ I also snagged a copy of cedega bin (which I would buy if it worked), but no luck.. same issue. This is my first REAL wine experiment. I ran winrar just to see it run when I first heard about wine, but nothing other than that.
BTW, If I were to run win98 in vmware or bochs or something, would windows be able to use opengl? I have an nvidia and PROBABLY don't have a machine with enough balls anyway, but I was just curious if I did have the afore mentioned balls, if it would be possible
Thanks again Headrush! _________________ Kris Edwards

Forget VMware for running any 3D games, it won't work. (At least current version 5.0) |

I installed Tiger Woods 2004 in VMware and can play in software mode, but this isn't good enough and mouse speed is a problem for swinging.
The latest cedega-4.3.2 installed about 68% and than failed with an unspecified error.
I'm going to try transferring the files from installation in VMware to Point2play and see if cedega will run it then. |

Good luck with the point to play.. Wonder why my cedega didn't even get past the cd check.. Are you using original disk or backup? I've tried both cvs and cedgea bin and I get the message to Install from the Install disk.
Edit: Nm ...

I'm guessing this didn't go well :/ I suppose I could sign up with the cedega folks so I can vote for it, but apparently linux geeks and sports games (even nerdy sports) don't mix since it apparently didn't do well the last time it was mentioned... If it was Tiger Woods Chess, it'd be working already.. and probably really easy to beat.
Thanks for the replies though _________________ Kris Edwards
