hello everyone, I've just installed shorewall into my gentoo box, I have the policies to drop all incoming connection and accept outgoing ones, the problem here is that I don't know what rule should I put in order to connect to the ares network, in Ares.conf its configured on port 51432, so I added this rule to my shorewall /etc/shorewall/rules:
ACCEPT net fw tcp 51432
but this didn't worked... the plugin is not getting connected... so I'm asking for your help here, what should I put in my rules to connect to this network? fasttrack and emule (mldonkey) worked that way... I don't see why it's not working with ares.
thx in advance

These are the rules I use to connect to ares. I looked through the nodes file, and these are the ones that I connected to the most prior to setting up shorewall, so I set them up and it works.
Code: |
ACCEPT fw net tcp 59049 #ares
ACCEPT fw net tcp 23647 #ares
ACCEPT fw net tcp 1215 #ares
ACCEPT fw net udp 1215 #ares
ACCEPT fw net tcp 57666 #ares
ACCEPT fw net tcp 51432 #ares
ACCEPT fw net tcp 1213 #giFT

Still working on openft.... |
