Problem with mplayer

hi anyone know how i can get it to show graphics when i try to play a movie via mplayer or xmms? when i hit the play button nothing shows up.....i do hear the audio tho...with -ao sdl....

Did you try telling it to use the x11 video driver? (as opposed to xv)

u can try -vo sdl

mplayer -vo --help lists the available video drivers, you can then try them out

also, look at the documentation, it's fairly exhaustive, I'm sure there's something for Radeon cards as well
