due to some problems I've been having getting samba running from command line, i decided to try swat, I get it running via xinetd, etc, and I point my browser to localhost:901 and am given the login box, so I put in root with the correct password, and it says authorization failed, I also tried my user name and password, but to no avail.
Any ideas? _________________ The Seraphim |

hmmm, try running SWAT from the command line with the -a option. ex:
Code: | somebox:~ # swat -a |
that will put SWAT in no auth mode to make sure that it is actually attempting to auth and not just spitting out an error.
seems that I had this problem some time ago, ended up being that I was typing my pass in wrong :/ _________________ Gentoo Linux 2.6.19.2-grsec
