audigy users

I get horrible sound quality with alsa, and great with oss and the cvs version of emu10k1, anyone tried the alsa cvs? someone said it had audigy support.

also, I don't know exactly what I changed / uppgraded / whatever, but sometimes when I play sound with xmms I get .. no sound at all, switching tracks a few times fixes it and gives me sound, it's like it haven't been properly initialized or something.
