I attempted to emerge system, and it came across a problem trying to install gettext. I noticed that someone had this problem before, but it was never solved. I get the following error message:
Code: |
sed: 1: "2iexit 77": command i expects \ followed by text
|
My emerge info is right here:
Code: |

Well, it's not obvious, but after reading through many remotely familiar problems, i have figured out that portage NEEDS gawk and GNU sed, neither of which are included with OS X -- instead it's plain awk and sed. I replaced my sed and awk with gawk and GNU sed, and now I'm having no problems. ![Razz :P](images/smiles/icon_razz.gif) |
