Hi!!!
I've benn trying some fps games like nexruiz, enemy-territory, enemy-territory-fortress and americas-army
But all I have is a dial-up connection, and I don't want to be connected to play.
In fact, I want no lan games. All I want is something like the good old doom or descent style
Is there some way to play those marvellous (for what I could see) games on a single computer.
I mean, to have any character to play against, or to make the computer emulate the rest of the crew
Well, thanks a lot
Saludos
Sas
PS: If you know of any fine & thrilling fps single-player game just let me know
PS2: Just found the following thread https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-122400-highlight-fps+games+single+player.html
Guess I'm out of luck |

Without bots (not sure where to find them or even if they exist for those games) you can't play any of the games you listed without an internet connection.
If you want a good SP FPS get HL2 (you'll have to be connected to the internet to run it, but thats just the crappiness of Steam), Doom3, or Farcary (HL2 and Farcry work in Cedega) |

I always found the Marthon series on my old PowerPC 6100 enjoyable.
And using the bots in the UT series can be a challenge also, you can set the level of AI of the bots. (Try God-like!) |

Hey thank you all for the tips
I tried cube and it's really very promissing.
I hope the make more singleplayer levels.
I wasn't too impressed with openquartz bots
And I'm planning to give marathon a try in the next few days.

PS Also tried nexuiz and is really very promissing. I hope they soone release some bots to fight against, cause I feel a bit lonely.
PS: I sure hope there would be something like Enemy Territory on singleplayer mode. Needless to say I completed a few missions, but it wasn't such a great fun playing it alone. |

Would you be looking for Return to Castle Wolfenstein then? Enemy Territory is a slightly modified free version of it for online play only. _________________ rcxAsh |
