so ive noticed that there are TONS of doom3 errors with alsa, but none have been answered, that i saw, so heres what i get when i run the demo

Are you sure it's ALSA? The nVidia driver seems to be the only thing actually complaining.
It sounds like the nvidia-glx module is newer than the nvidia-kernel module - which is odd. You might want to try making sure they're in line. _________________ What are you, stupid? |

yeah, i found out earlier that its the nvidia stuff, but they are both current and the same

If you look at the NVIDIA readme (http://www.icculus.org/lgfaq/#rtfnvidiam) and use qpkg -f you can find out what is installed from the nvidia drivers. One of these items is in conflict with the current version. |
