Its just the quoted text above that I dont get...
First of all I dont get what Im doing in VI. I suppose theres another way of doing whatever it is this "manual" tells me to do?
What is the file called that I make with "vi *.patch" ?? And why do I the move "*.diff" afterwards?

I got the VI part now....Its the "manual" on the link thats flawed in some way...
