Since the PS2 is a MIPS processor I was wondering if it would be possible to install gentoo on it somehow, however I don't know how to boot gentoo on it. I was wondering if anyone has tried to boot / install gentoo on their PS2. If you have could you please link me or tell me how you went about? |

http://www.playstation2-linux.com should have most of what you need to know.
You'll need the PS/2 Linux kit, which is AU$300 last time I checked. In particular, you need the install DVDs, which have Sony's bootloader & RTE. From there, you should be able to grab a MIPS1 little endian (mipsel1) stage from the mirrors (try the embedded µClibc ones) and build up a userland from there. _________________ Stuart Longland (a.k.a Redhatter, VK4MSL)
