I have a Redhat machine with a 40GB drive used for mp3's etc which I share with WinXP via samba. Now that I have gentoo installed as well, I want access to the mp3's there too.

Will there be any problems with sharing the drive in the other machine with both NFS and samba? Or would I be better off to just mount the samba share in gentoo? I'm assuming that NFS has better performance, which is why I'm considering it.

It would be just as easy to use Samba... that would be my suggestion. But, there shouldn't be any issues with sharing it via NFS and Samba...
