I have an I-opener that I have just gotten a Gentoo install completed on. It has 128MB of RAM and 16M trident video card built in. The CPU is a WinChip C6 200MHz processor. I am wondering if any of you good folks with low end systems would have a recommendation for a desktop/windowing environment based upon the choices of XFCE4, IceWM, or Enlightenment DR17. I have narrowed the choices for this down to these three but am wondering, for the resource challenged, which would eat up less RAM and CPU cycles? _________________ -----------------------------------------

IceWM would probably be the best choice out of the 3 you list here. Have you looked at Fluxbox or Openbox at all ? |

I have looked at the *boxes, but decided upon the three above due to the nicer "feel" they have, in addition to a "start" button capability. I am setting this I-opener up as a Kiosk for general use, for what will most likely be mostly windows users. _________________ -----------------------------------------
