I've just noticed that MPlayer 0.90 stable has been released (so why am I using mplayer-0.90_rc5?)

This is the first officially stable release sicne 0.60! Also, the project maintainer, Arpi, has stepped down, so here's to hoping we'll see a major code cleanup and DVD menu implementation! :)

I upgraded an ebuild file for the .90 release, but I'm not sure how it workes exactly lol. This is the first time I've messed with an ebuild. Well here it goes.

Taken off, didnt work as well as I had thought, upon closer inspection.

I copied the rc5 ebuild to .90 and emerged. mplayer seems to be working fine except for when the "mini" theme is turned on. The mini theme is part of mplayerplug-in. Upgrading mplayerplug-in to .70 doesn't seem to help.

Errors from mini theme:
Code:
Starting playback...
A:   5.7 V:   5.7 A-V: -0.037 ct: -0.007   82/ 82  23%  5%  1.2% 0 0 94%
Total Unfree 967602 bytes cnt 154 [(nil),0]

[ws]  Error code: 2 ( BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) )
[ws]  Request code: 12
[ws]  Minor code: 0
[ws]  Modules: (NULL)
Note: This error occurs if the mini theme is selected as the default when starting gmplayer OR gmplayer is running already and I manually switch to the mini theme.

I had that error, too with mplayer 0.90-r2. I was able to fix it by removing ~/.mplayer/gui.*. I don't know what changed, maybe it was a new file format for gui.conf.
