|

Hi,
I have internet from Polish ISP Telekomunikacja . I use SpeedTouch 330 ADSL Modem, but i must use ADSL over ATM.
At start I had a little problems with config the gentoo to use that modem. At last I found solution on :
http://www.linux-usb.org/SpeedTouch/gentoo/index.html
It was working for about 2 months. Now when I boot gentoo i get in dmesg "1-1 usb stage 1"(sometimes 2) not found. I didn't change anything in firmware
I traid to make the firmware once more, but that doesn't effect...
I even traid to recompile hotplug but that is useless.
Maybe somebody had similiar problem, or know hot to reslove this problem.
I don't want to reinstall gentoo So I'll be very glad for any help. _________________ Dziubek

I have the same problem with udev-068.
My solution:
Code: | emerge --unmerge udev
echo '>sys-fs/udev-058' >> /etc/portage/package.mask
emerge udev

I resolved my problem by recompilation of kernel. But I thinks You are right, that can be a udev which make problems... _________________ Dziubek
