Some more information would help others to find a solution.
like: are you using cedega or wine cvs ?
with no cd - "crack" (or "too-lazy-to-change-disk".exe) |

If you use a no-cd-crack with diablo 1 you definitely have to copy some files to disk, the installer only installs the .exe and not much else (all big files stay on the cd). |

I got this stupid game working with the no-cd hack.
Anyways, I am unable to see the intro screen. Everthing is black until I actually get into the game.
Can someone tell me what the options on the screen are with a pre existing save game so I know what key combinations to hit so I can actually load my last save game?
WellI get the stupid award.
Checked and I had the 20050419 (or so) install.
Upadated. to 20050830.
The menus are still black but the save game reloads work now.
So Diablo is now playable! (running x86_64 ~am64) |

I have the same problem.
I copied my CD to a folder and use it as the E: drive in Wine. I installed Diablo from there (if it's already installed, you can change the CD dir in Regedit). I used after the NoCD "patch".
I cannot see the menus, but when I can get into a game and clicking on the screen, it works...
If you want to use you saved game, just open the game in Windows and remember what keys to use (arrows + enter)... That's what I'm doing. If you have ONLY one saved game in Single Player, just press Enter until you enter the game
Good luck! |
