cd to the fluidportage overlay directory and run "svn up", that will update the overlay. Then, if you're interested in what has been changed, run "svn log -r HEAD" or "svn log|less". |

Did that, and it worked much better, now it's just thunar that getting errors.

Well, I've commited a patch for this problem but since I don't have an amd64 box I can't test if the patch fixes this problem and if it is the only problem. |

Quite similiar to the current (2.12) nautilus, imho. I still prefer not to use any file manager at all though:roll: |

Got an error on the last update, posted it to the thunar-dev. Were told to remove the damn-amd64-incompatibility.patch and to notify you (the gentoo maintainer). Totally forgot that the thunar-dev had nothing to do with it.

Removed the patch. We don't have a mailinglist but there is an irc channel (#freenode @ freenode), it's quite idle though. |

| the fluidportage ffmpeg ebuild needs a patch to fix the sandbox error that occurs during the install of vhook. i've read elsewhere that the workaround is to disable sandbox for this ebuild.... i consider that approach less than ideal. i'm looking at it, but i'm not really too familiar with how to patch Makefiles and configures to make them sandbox-friendly. any help or suggestions would be most welcome. |

Is anyone having problems with Thunar and thumbnails of images, I find that it only displays some thumbnails even though the files for which no thumbnails are displayed are of the same type as the ones that do have thumbnails..what gives?

Thunar has no support for creating thumbnails yet, so it only displays thumbnails already created by other apps (located in ~/.thumbnails). I think it currently only shows thumbs by the size of 128x128 too, but I'm not sure. There's a thread about this on the thunar-dev list, check http://foo-projects.org/pipermail/thunar-dev/. |

It seems that xffm is being reorganized into smaller modules which should probably each get their own ebuild now, but I don't think I have time to create those ebuilds, especially since I don't actually use xffm myself. I'ts still possible to fix the current ebuild to install all the modules but that also is not easy. |

Unless you have all your system on cvs packages (which is not very likely) all you need to do is to remove all the keyword definitions from /etc/portage/package.keywords which allowed you to emerge those packages, and then run "emerge -uDpvt world". Or at least I think that should do it, if it doesn't then, well, you need to get a list of all packages with: equery -q -C list ".*-20101010" and manually re-emerge them after package.keywords file has been cleaned up. |

I reworked my version of the ffmpeg cvs ebuild to handle its new configure script. The new configure no longer accepts both --enable-<option> and --disable-<option> for its options. Instead it offers a default for an option (either enabled or disabled) and, if you don't want the default, then, and only then, do you use the appropriate setting to alter the default. This breaks the ebuild syntax: $(use_enable) option which always generates either --disabled- or --enabled. For example: the vorbis default is [no] and the only option that you can use now is --enable-vorbis, i.e. there is no longer an option --disable-vorbis since that is the default. Also, econf doesn't work any more since the configure does not like the extra things it adds like --host=, --infodir=, --datadir=, and others.
I use variants of the fluidportage ebuilds to directly pull from cvs without fluidportage, but I wanted to post my ebuild here to help the fluid guys correct their version of the ffmpeg ebuild. Mine also adds use flags for amr_nb and amr_wb (local use flags for ffmpeg) that build those codecs [THE AMR LICENSING IS NOT GPL !].

It will build cleanly in the portage sandbox with minor changes needed for use with fluidportage.

I got this when tried to install xfce4

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
