|
|
I'm trying to setup a music server as per the excellent howto in the wiki using daapd, but no matter what I try it wants to install X. Is this really necessary? I haven't installed X so far because I have no need for it on this system. Have I missed something obvious?
Any help would be much appreciated. |

Which daapd ebuild are you trying to use? The masked one or mt-daapd?
What does
Code: | emerge --tree -pv <package name> |
show? |

I was originally trying to use the masked daapd as per the howto, but after posting here I tried mt-daapd and that installed no problem without X. Of course it didn't work correctly either...
Looks like I'll have to wait for everything to get updated properly, as it seems to be broken with the current iTunes. |
