voilà je viens de réinstaller gentoo sur mon portable (Omnibook XE3 avec une savage/IX-MV), et je me suis rendu compte que quand je faisais "f" dans mplayer, il me faisait un fullscreen mais en gardant la même taille d'image (quel intérêt à part qu'il remplit le reste de noir, quand ça n'est pas du bleu...).

J'avais désactivé les USE opengl et xv, donc je les ai réactivées et j'i recompilé mon xorg... mais toujours le même problème... !

Je ne vois pas du tout ce qui peut faire ça... !

Sans doute que ton mplayer utilise un driver qui ne fait pas de scalling...
Essaye de forcer l'utilisation de xv : mplayer -vo xv blah.avi

Tu as bien recompilé xorg ET mplayer après avoir remis le USE xv ?
Et ton driver graphique gère bien les extensions xv ?

j'ai recompilé les 2 oui

mais je ne sais pas si mon driver graphique gère xv, xv n'est pas un driver générique ???

comme j'ai dit c'est une savage de merde intégrée au laptop. Mais avant la réinstallation ça marchait !!!

Donc si avant ça marchait, c'est que ton driver est sensé le gérer...
Montre un peu ta conf de xorg, principalement la section "Module", "ServerFlags" et la section "Device"

ah ben c'est bien ca, moi aussi j'ai ce genre de problème... En fait le zoom fonctionne sur le premier écran, mais quand je met un film sur le 2ème écran, le zoom fonctionne pas :(:(:(

Euh, mais toi t'es en fglrx non?
Et là c'est toujours un cas à part, ça dépend pas du mode choisi pour le dual screen?

L'option "zoom" de mplayer ne fonctionne qu'avec les vo framebuffer, et pas x11 (enfin je crois)
Pour savoir si ton xorg supporte le xv, regarde la sortie de la commande "xvinfo"
Dernière solution : utiliser la sortie "sdl" de mplayer

Avec xv, c'est pas la peine. xv SAIT faire du resize matériel, -zoom est utile avec x11, pour faire du resize logiciel, a éviter autant que possible.

SDL ne marche pas chez moi.... il redimensionne bien mais l'image est constituee d'un nuage de carres de plein de couleurs...!!!

Grace à ati, le truc XV fonctionne pas sur le 2ème écran... Pour xine, j'utilise xshm (qui fais foirer les consoles du premier ecran) mais qui, au moin, fait un zoom !!!

Attention, si vous voulez utiliser xine pour le 2ème écran, il faut changer le driver en étant sur le 1er écran (et mettre le pilote sur xshm), sinon il fait un killed et voilou, disparu le xine sur le 2ème écran...
