Hallo,
da bei mir die die beiden IDE-Ports auf dem Mainboard nicht mehr ausreichen, wollte ich mir eine Controllerkarte kaufen um wieder Plätze zu bekommen. Leider habe keine Informationen gefunden, welche von Linux unterstützt wird und welche nicht. Ich möchte kein RAID aufbauen, sondern einfach nur weitere IDE-Ports haben. Geht das mit einer "normalen" RAID-Karte, oder muß ich etwas beachten. Wie ihr merkt, habe ich keinen richtigen Punkt zum Beginnen. Bin für jeden Link/Hilfe dankbar. |

Ich habe den Promise Ultra133 TX2. Das ist ein reiner IDE-Controller (UDMA 133) ohne RAID und funktioniert einwandfrei unter Linux.
Der Treiber ist hier zu finden:
