bridge: Unknown symbol br_handle_frame_hook

Hi folks,

I'm trying to install a transparent (bridging) firewall using gentoo linux with kernel 2.6.11 hardened r15, but when the system tries to load the bridging module, it states: "Unknown symbol br_handle_frame_hook". I tried to compile bridge with the kernel, but then brctl states: "add brige failed: package not installed". I'm quite a newbie on gentoo, could someone please help me with the issue? You won't be able to use brctl until you resolve the bridge kernel module not loading correctly.

I suggest doing this

Just did all that: same problem... :roll:

Is there maybe another component I need to select in Networking Options for this bridge to work? Thanks!

Not AFAIK.

I suggest opening a bug on bugs.gentoo.org and assign it to hardened@gentoo.org - remember to give emerge --info

(btw, I have bridging working on hardened-sources-2.6.11-r15)
