Ahorn wont start on my machine (isn't a download error).
I've been installed gentoo with amd64 gentoo's official cd... using reiserfs (seems to run fast too).
Thanks anyway _________________ Proudly Member of GeCHI |

Reiser4 doesn't work very well on AMD64 anyway. |

Reiser4 is currently not supported by the Gentoo development team.
Moved from Gentoo on AMD64 to Unsupported Software. _________________ ~~ Peter: Programmer, Mathematician, STEM & Free Software Advocate, Enlightened Agent, Transhumanist, Fedora contributor

Heh Im working on a conrad LiveCD 0.2.5 (Reiser4-enabled LiveCD), it will include an amd64 version, but you'd have to wait
I suggest just using reiserfs, its plenty fast _________________ IRC!: #zen-sources on irc.rizon.net

reiser4 has been stable on amd64 for me since early this year. Do you know of an amd64-specific problem that the rest of us don't? |

Oh it works for you? That must mean it's perfectly stable! Sorry I withdraw my claim. |

It's also been working perfectly for me for a long time now. Maybe YOU are the only one with problems! jk _________________ Knowledge is power.

Does it not work for you? I've been following the mailing list and as far as I know there aren't any open amd64 bugs. |

Not to mention that it's been working fine for namesys as well, aside from the bugs that have affected all platforms. (Well, I guess the SCSI-related bug I patched for it might have been AMD64 only, not sure.) |

You could try here:
Live64 Ahorn4
This is what I used almost a year ago.
BTW Reiser4 has been rock solid and super fast on my system the entire time. However I still see many posts about people having major issues with it so use at your own risk. I know no one will cry for me if my system breaks, however my experiences have been nothing but positive and I wouldn't trust my system to anything else |

Think of it as Knoppix + Reiser4 + Polished KDE...sadly no nano.
I ran off of it for some 3 months straight until a week ago...though things froze up ocassionally (I think this had something to do with filling up all my RAM with programs installed through klik.)
EDIT: I forgot to mention they have 32bit and 64bit releases. |
