hi there
just interested to see if any one has managed to get OS X isntalled with portage on a X86
as its getting close to new pc time and i really love the os X GUI
but would hate to lose portage |

The OSX install on x86 is only a developer release. Being illegal to "crack" a copy may make this post not too popular around here...
But, portage for osx is still not that good.. (I have it on my iBook). But I assume things would be a bit easier if it were running on an x86 machine, only time will tell. _________________

heheh... you could try portage on Darwin for x86, which you can get totally legal
not to mention, it's a nice exercise to get portage running on Darwin/ppc
but's sure a nice thing for a really bored developer, to install portage on his pentium4 powered OS X86 ^^ |

loads of time i need to save up so by time i have the cash they will of released x86 hardware
just if there was a 0% chance of it happening i would prob get the hardware sooner then later |
