We share a network printer(IP: 10.0.0.150), how can I use it in my gentoo box?
I have installed cups, and tried to add printer in http://localhost:631. But I do not
know which option to choose in the many-steps configuration.
btw, the printer is HP laserjet 1320n. |

Assuming it has PostScript, the following should work:
name: (whatever name you want)
device: AppSocket/HP JetDirect
device URI: socket://10.0.0.150:9100
make: HP
model: HP LaserJet Series CUPS v1.1 (en) - you could try HP LaserJet PCL Series CUPS v1.1 (en) if you don't want PostScript |

Is the printer attached to a computer or truly network independent?
If attached to another computer, what OS is it running?
Are you using KDE? |

It is network independent, not attached to any computer.
I'm using fvwm. |
