X forwarding is working and closing application

Hi,
my X forwarding is working well but some time I would like to launch an X program remotely then log out from the machine whitout closing it;
So after some hours I can reconnect and see my Appl still working.

Is this possible?

@Triptol - I wanne setup screen as my login-shell - is this poissble?
i tried (setup in /etc/passwd and /etc/shells) but faild. when i login screen only starts and stops (loges me out)
