|
|
Hi.
I am using pypanel in gnome, aswell as the default "MacOS like" pannel which is at the top of the desktop. In the pypanel application list it shows both "Top Expanded Edge Panel" and "Desktop" as running windows.
Is there a way to get rid of them from there?
I can take a screenshot if it will help at all.
Thanks |

You can exclude specific applications in your .pypanelrc.
Code: | HIDE_LIST = ["Gaim"] |
Like that. |

Hi, that looks just like what I am after thanks. Problem is that when I add
Code: | HIDE_LIST = ["Top Expanded Edge Panel", "Desktop"] | it does not remove them from the list
Other settings are recognized from the .pypanelrc file after pypanel is restarted and I got the names of those two apps from xprop like it says in the config file.
Any ideas what may be going wrong?
EDIT: hmm. Just noticed that other apps ( "urxvt" ) are removed when added to that line. |

Well, I'm pretty sure that "Desktop" isn't the name of the program you desire to hide. Make sure that you find the WM_CLASS when you use xprop. |

I think you will manually have to paste it into the browser. |
