qmail smtp-auth problem

Hi,

I read the howto http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/qmail-howto.xml, is all work except smtp-auth, because a user@domain can send mail to user@domain although never log in the server,... what happen??... any tips, any ideas??
A user@domain can send mail to user@otherdomain if he log in the server, that is very extrange because this component about smtp-auth work...

Any ideas are welcome!!
