My new website http://themerediths.org is up, but whenever I try to load the website from within the LAN via the network address of the server (192.168.2.17) or even the server itslef (localhost), the page loads excruciatinly slow. Strangely, whenever it is loaded from outside the LAN, it pops right up. Another odd thing is that the squirrelmail page which lives on the same place http://themerediths.org/squirrelmail pops right up no matter where it is loaded from. Anyone have any ideas why this might be? Thanks!

Nevermind, I figured it out.

My router blocks attempts to connect to myself if trying to do so from inside the network by accessing the external IP address. Since the blog software I'm using is configured to use the address visible to the world at large, nothing but the data contained in index.php was being loaded because all the other references were absolute, not relative.

So I guess this means I have to get a new router (done) or use a web proxy. Yuck.
