hola ok this is what it says when i have started gentoo
eth0 does not exist
and lower down it says ERROR: problem starting needed services. "netmount" was not found.
when i run with livecd the networkcard works fine. but when im done with the installation bit and reboot the networkcard is gone and dont work.
plz give a noob some help  |

It seems to me that you don't have support for your network card enabled in the kernel. Do you know what card model you have? If not, load up the LiveCD and check which modules are loaded after boot. _________________ Adopt an unanswered post! |

well hmm i dont know how to check what modules that is loaded.
and i dont know what kinda card i use it doesent say on the card
there hafto be a way to save the settings from when i use liveCD to installed gentoo or something.
god im a newb  |

You need the chipset fo your card, and not the name of the manufacturer.
lspci -vv Section: Ethernet Controller will continue to help? _________________ LG
