Quick question.
Can we get a solaris for sparc ( either 32 bits or 64 bits) running on a linux host. I see qemu is emulating the processor in 32 bits mode.
I see there anybody who tried to install solaris 8- 9 - 10 for sparc 32 or 64 bits? Could you share your experience?

Their sparc sun4m emulation is listed as "in progress." So my question to you is why in the world would you want to emulate a sun4m box? You could probably buy a sparc20 for $50 and be done with it if you really want to run at 75 MHz and use sBus. _________________ "Blessed is he who finds happiness in his own foolishness, for he will always be happy". |

Just to avoid to buy a deprecated old system.
My home pc gets 4 gig memory and I already use VMWARE for emulating some other O.S.
I Have a application ( from my current employement) that requires a SUN ( either 32 bits or 64 bits) loaded with lots of memory. I would like get it running without extra equipment. _________________ Olivier PELERIN |
