Something I just ran across trying to find a nice SSH ftp client in KDE... if you emerge the "kio_fish" target, Konqueror (and the explorer) will now support SSH in a totally sweet transparent way. You just login and start exploring the file system like it was local. It supports uploads and downloads and eveyrthing with just drag and drop, this is totally sweet.
