cirrus logic and alsa

hey there

i am having trouble getting my sound card going. here is what my log says:

when i modprobe cs46xx i get no error but my lsmod shows:

when i type amixer i get a 'no such device' error as well.

which i think all points at the card not being picked up.

does modprobe not showing an error mean that it is the right module? is there any generic module that i could try?
