|
|
Yesterday my D-link DI-604 broke down. It just stopped working.
I have a server running mainly samba and ftp in the closet. I have one machine running Win XP that I use as a desktop for surfing and listening to mp3s.
Instead of buying a new router with nat and have inbetween these two machines, I could put in a NIC in the server that I have, and use it to forward to my XP machine.
What do I need to do to accomplish this other than plugging in the extra nic? Which programs do I need to emerge and configure?
Is there a howto somewhere?
Thanks in advance. |
