Gnome-base

I wrote to Destkop-forum, but since nobody answerd me, I guess I choosed a wrong forum.... sorry :S
Anyway, I wan't to install GNOME2. No extra programs, but only libraries and apps that are _needed_ by GNOME2, so it's starts. I will install some apps after completed GNOME2 installation.
Unfortunally, I'm new to Gentoo (installed it yesterday) so I don't know what to write in emerge. emrege gnome --pretend showed that a lot of applictations (and games, which I don't wan't!) will be installed, so I never did emerge gnome. I tried with emerge gnome-base/gnome-desktop. --pretend shows that this time I'll only get about 10 packages. But I don't know if I should do this or emerge gnome-base/gnome-core, or anything else Please help a Gentoo newbie :cry:
