Hi all,

Im trying to get Klaptop running, and it appears to work ok after i enabled the deprecated /proc/acpi/sleep in the kernel, but fails to resume after hibernate. Whether i run it by closing the lid or executing from the console it freezes with some "trackpoint firmware" msg.

If i take /proc/acpi/sleep back out of the kernel I can run the script again and it resumes nicely, but of course this means I no longer have Klaptop acpi functionality.

Im working on a Thinkpad T42, have followed the power management guide and am happy with everything except Klaptop and /proc/acpi/sleep

Does anyone have any idea what may be the problem, and how to solve it?

thanks!

Stupid question, just making sure that you've tried the stuff on these two pages:

Well, i'd not come across the 2nd link, but i will definately go over it. thanks.

Like i said above theough, i have everythng working fine. Suspend to disk, and RAM both work if i DO NOT use /proc/acpi/sleep -- if i enable it, and try to use hibernate, it crashes on resume :(

afaik /proc/acpi/sleep is deprecated so you'll eighter need to patch the klaptop daemon or upgrade to kde 3.5.
