Devfs is not included in this kernel. It was depricated in earlier versions. I tried to compile it manually & to genkernel it, but it steel says ".devfs is not found" & it fails to mount /dev . So it doesn't see any of my devices, including hdd.

please, help guys.

Forget devfs, it's dead. Switch to udev.

So how do I use Udev, if it can't boot my hdd?

Boot from the Gentoo LiveCD, and chroot into your hard drive. The normal installation instructions pretty much explain it.

I can boot my hdd from the LD, but how will the installed kernel see udev, if it doesn't see hdd where Udev is. Maybe, I shold compile it into the InitRd, but the new genkernel wants udev 035 & i've got udev 0.71. I 5tried to recompile it again, now it reboots at once, or shows errors.
