I am attempting to get my wifi up and running on my Compaq R4000 laptop. I have the 64bit drivers:
Code: |

Installed ndis drivers:
netbc564 driver present, hardware present
|
When I go ahead and run modprobe -v ndiswrapper my computer completely locks up. I am unable to do anything including controling capslock on my keyboard. I had music running one time and the bit that was playing started to loop like an old record skipping.
I can post any info needed to solve this.
Thx

I found some new info that might be useful. This is what I get when I hit my wireless button on my laptop. I have included my dmesg after having done it as well.
Code: |
localhost dev # udevmonitor --env
udevmonitor prints the received event from the kernel [UEVENT]
and the event which udev sends out after rule processing [UDEV]
