No matter what I have tried I can't get Konqueror to recognise 32-bit Netscape plugins, tried all the various "hacks" on here.
Also, no matter what I put in packages.unmask it just doesn't let me merge masked packages.
What's the latest process for merging masked packages, tried something on a Gentoo wiki site and that didn't work at all. _________________ ^<^>^<^>^

Even if you put a package in package.unmask, it may be hard-masked by keyword. In that case, you have to manually add the correct keyword to your /etc/portage/package.keywords, like thusly:
Code: | foo-bar/package ~arch |

Which package are you trying to emerge then? Did you also put it in portage.keywords? |

Aha thanks guys, I get it now.
It's Tomcat and Eclipse I want to emerge and I think I can do it now.
Cheers.
The problem with Flash it that Konqueror opens up a new Window and goes to Macromedia's site everytime I go to a page with Flash, this annoys me no end. I don't mind having no flash, I just need to stop Konqueror either prompting me or opening a window when it encounters a page with flash. _________________ ^<^>^<^>^
