Hallo,

ich bekomme usb nicht ans laufen. Ich möchte lediglich meine Camera per gphoto2 benutzen.

hotplug ist installiert und läuft.
Dennoch tut sich nix im syslog wenn ich die Camera anschliesse!?
Kann da wer abhelfen?[/code]

Was für einen Chipsatz hast du? Mach mal nach dem Anschliessen der CAM ein lsmod, um die geladenen Module zu überprüfen. Falls kein USB-Modul geladen wurde kannst du es ja mal manuell vor dem Einstecken der Cam laden.

Viele Kameras kann man nicht mounten. Auf die gleichen kann man i.d.R. nur als root zugreifen.
Ich habe zwei. eine kann ich mounten, die andere nicht. Zugriff habe ich auf die zweite i.d.R. nur als root. Ab und an bekomme ich die configs hin, das es als User klappt. Im Moment z.B. wieder nicht.

Schau doch mal hier nach, ob Deine Kamera überhaupt unterstützt wird.
