To get your 22Mbs wireless adapter working:
Throw it out (or return it) and buy a 11Mbs card
Preferably based on a Prism chipset.
Sorry, but the 22Mbs cards are based on a Texas Instrument chip which do not have any drivers available for linux. They have been promising a closed source driver for linux, but to my knowledge, have yet to come through with it. Unfortunately, there are not many cards now that use the Prism chipset, many, including linksys, dlink, etc. have switched to different chipsets without a linux driver available. I would think that a orinoco wireless card would be a safe bet in working with linux. |

22Mbit WiFi is actually 11Mbit! Don't even think about this crap!
Dlink DWL-650 uses prism2 chip. _________________ "Yes, I know Linux runs faster, but they can do that because they have thrown out the weight of the airbag, collision frame and safety belt." —Poul-Henning Kamp |

Get a Cisco card, I have a cisco 350 which is very powerful, it can go up to 1wat while all other cards can only do .5wat. |
