After searching this forum & googling, I got very weired situation. I also want to remove gentoo from my Tiger! And I think uninstall.pl has been removed because there was complain about it screwing up the system. So, I put some find / command in terminal and found some portage directory in
/usr/lib/portage/
/usr/portage/
/var/cache/edb/dep/
/var/db/pkg/
/private/var/cache/edb/dep/
/private/var/db/pkg/
and also files:
/etc/make.*
/etc/etc-update.conf
now, my question is, is it safe to remove directory using rm and removing user/group portage from netinfo manager?
Please, help me out of this! I need to free up my disk-space. And also waiting for a stable release of gentoo-macosx on ppc64. Thanks. |
